We are seeking intense crime thrillers of 40,000-70,000 words with classic pulp-fiction sensibilities and modern settings and themes. Include a synopsis, at least one sample chapter, and anything else you think we might find titillating.

NOVEL SUBMISSIONS
We are seeking gritty crime and suspense novels, preferably on the shorter side (40,000 words minimum). Our inspiration is the irresistibly desperate and seedy tales of the classic pulp era, embodied in the masterful one-off thrillers by authors such as Jim Thompson, John D. MacDonald, and Ed McBain.
Although our sensibilities are shaped by writing from the past, we would like to connect with modern readers with stories set in, and relevant to, the current society and culture.
